Sanitorium is a narrative driven horror game, based in an abandoned asylum. Play as a security guard called in to check out an old, creepy asylum, and navigate floors, kill enemies, and help uncover the truth of what happened to the patients, all those years ago. 

A 2D side-scrolling game, with a pixel art design style, Sanitorium is a visual novel with some easy gameplay elements. The perfect game for a short, casual, enriched experience.

Established in 2023, Nightmare Studios is an Australian based company that specializes in pixel horror games. Consisting of four university students, joined together for an assignment, ‘Sanitorium’ is their premiere video game.
